Having read about 100 pages and several short stories, I have decided I am a little overdosed with vampires for awhile. Those that I have been meeting are traditional vamps, though there are differences. Harry Turtledove centers his story in the Christian world--indeed the Vatican. Then Tad Williams centers his story among Muslims in the near east, and Michael A. Burstein's characters are Jewish. Barbara spins a yarn of exploration of the South Pole. And here I leave the book, though I will return. I am enjoying the variety.
I will now return to
Les Mis, which I am sure has been languishing in my absence.
