Finished THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD

9618464

Agatha Christie has her record clean with me...I have never figured who the murderer was until told by the detective.  And this may have had me fooled more than most...

Am now just starting Deadlocked, Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) #12.  Have literally read only a few sentences, but it starts with Sookie and girlfriends at a stripper bar about to watch her cousin Claude (fairy--literally) strip.  I always enjoy the Sookie books.

Finished INCUBUS DREAMS

It is about 85% porn, but what keeps it interesting is how many ways Laurell Hamilton can find to do it. I must say, she is pretty inventive. There was a police adventure in there, as well, which was pretty good.

I have now started The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.   I think in some ways Agatha Christie is like Mark Twain--tongue in cheek humor.   I enjoy it no end.   Already a lot of suspects.

Finished THE LAST DARK, and with it the entire Chronicles of Thomas Covenant

12407466

Two trilogies and a quadrilogy later, I must say I am sorry it is over.  Beautiful, exciting, frightening action with great characters, a world that functioned almost as another every evolving character, and an extremely satisfying ending.  Can Stephen Donaldson now stay away from this world like he says he will?  Let's see.

I have now started Incubus Dreams by Laurell K. Hamilton, book 12 in the Anita Blake series.  This starts with the discovery of the partly hidden and partly exposed body of a young woman killed by no less that seven vampires working together.  Unsettling even in Anita's world...or maybe, especially in Anita's world.
